ZEBRA VERDE

From a very young age, I had a gift from my mother that I deeply loved… a pair of pink patent leather ballet flats. Years later, when the flats became too small, my mother gave them away, and I was heartbroken that I would never have them again because brightly colored shoes weren’t easy to find in Colombia. Wanting to make my own ballet flats sparked my deep love for learning how to make shoes was born.

During my university years, I moved to Buenos Aires to study Business Administration. Living there—surrounded by its culture and fashion—reawakened that childhood dream I had kept tucked away. At night, secretly and without my parents knowing, I enrolled in shoemaking and fashion courses. I learned how to craft shoes and handbags, and in the process, I discovered how incredibly happy and fulfilled I felt doing something I was truly passionate about.

When I returned to Colombia in 2009, I created Zebra Verde, a brand dedicated to crafting women’s shoes while staying true to a principle that has always been essential to me: producing high-quality footwear using traditional atelier techniques—handcrafted construction, premium leathers and materials—while preserving elegance, color, and a modern touch.
